Our highly experienced professional staff is trained and supervised by our Master Piercer, T Barksdale, a master piercer with the Association of Professional Piercers and has over 35 years of experience in the body modification industry.
Under My Skin is conveniently located inside Temple Mall and provides a clean, safe & family friendly environment. We use the sharpest and best quality pre-packaged, one-time use, surgical steel piercing needles and pre-packaged, sterilized, implant grade steel and titanium jewelry for every piercing.

Aftercare is the most important part of a successful piercing! We give each client a full aftercare tutorial, including a comprehensive aftercare pamphlet with information and instructions. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
BEFORE YOUR PIERCING
State law requires that adults (18+) provide a valid sate or federal issued I.D.
(driver's license, I.D., or passport) NO COPIES OR DIGITAL IMAGES
If you have any health conditions such as Diabetes, Epilepsy, Hemophilia, Sickle Cell Anemia, Lupus, Heart condition, Liver, Kidney issues, or Auto immune issues, or are taking any medications, antibiotics, or steroids, or you are currently pregnant or nursing, please call or message us before booking your appointment.
PLEASE EAT A MEAL
BEFORE YOUR PIERCING
After the piercing your blood sugar level will drop. If you've eaten something substantial before your piercing it will not drop to the point where you feel woozy or pass out.
BODY PIERCINGS FOR MINORS
State law requires that minors (under 18) provide a court/legal birth certificate or certified copy and be accompanied by a parent listed on their birth certificate with a valid I.D
State law requires that a minor must be at least 14 years old to pierce anything other than ear lobes. **see below (Some piercings excluded by law.)

146. TATTOO AND CERTAIN BODY PIERCING STUDIOS Sec. 146.0125. BODY PIERCING PROHIBITED WITHOUT PARENTAL CONSENT; EXCEPTION.
(a) A person may not perform body piercing on an individual younger than 18 years of age without the consent of a parent, managing conservator, or guardian of the individual. (b) The consent must indicate the part of the person's body that may be pierced. (c) The consent required by Subsections (a) and (b) may be satisfied by the individual's parent or guardian:
(1) being physically present at the body piercing studio at the time the body piercing is performed;
(2) executing an affidavit stating that the person is the parent or guardian of the individual on whom the body piercing is to be performed;
(3) presenting evidence of the person's identity to the person who will perform the body piercing; and
(4) presenting evidence of the person's status as parent or guardian of the individual who will receive the body piercing.
(d) A person younger than 18 years of age commits an offense if the person falsely states that the person is 18 years of age or older or presents any document that indicates that the person is 18 years of age or older to a person engaged in the operation of a body piercing studio. An offense under this subsection is a Class B misdemeanor.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Proper documentation is required by state law and Texas State Health Department regulations and we are required to have proper documentation on hand for every piercing service, even if we have provided piercing services for you in the past.
- We do not perform the horizontal tongue ("snake eyes") piercing. This Piercing is disapproved by the Association of Professional Piercers and causes a tremendous amount of damage to the tongue and has a very high rejection rate.
